Hello.
I work for a Community Solutions, a nonprofit supporting cities working to end homelessness (how? With data, massive coordination, and a whole lot of grit).
I’ve been hooked on magazines ever since my first subscription to 3-2-1 Contact. I pursued this interest by studying magazine design at the Missouri School of Journalism and later working there as an adjunct instructor. In this role, I taught students how to translate content for magazines across platforms and the fundamentals of web design and online storytelling. I love thinking through how content can best be presented in different contexts—print, web, tablet, and mobile—and coming up with design solutions for these reading environments.
I’ve art directed at a weekly tabloid and monthly city magazines, including Atlanta Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, and Alive Magazine. My work has been recognized by the Society for News Design, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. I’m available for freelance projects.
